Head Chef Chris Davies was 'born and bred' in Cumbria. He trained for 5 years at the prestigious Connaught Hotel in London, under World renowned Chef Michel Bourdin. He then took up the position of Sous Chef at The Michelin Starred Chateau de Montreuil in Northern France where he gained The William Hepinstall Award for Outstanding Young Chef and a passion for French cuisine.
After many years making a name for himself both in France and England he returned to his home, The Lake District, where at Burlington's Restaurant he creates mouth-watering masterpieces of English and French cuisine using the finest produce our beautiful county has to offer.
Chris says "I am totally committed to supporting small local suppliers who provide top quality produce. I am passionate about seeking the finest seasonal offerings for all of my dishes at Burlington’s, from oils and herbs to fish and meat."
