FAQ's

 

Q : Are you pet friendly?  A : Unfortunately we don’t accept pets at the hotel.

 

Q : What is the nearest town?  A : Bowness on Windermere is located approximately 4 miles from the hotel.  There is a limited bus service or taxi’s are readily available.  We don’t advise walking as there are limited footpaths.

 

Q : Are there buses/taxis available?  A : Taxi’s can be arranged from reception for you.  There is a bus service however this is limited during the winter months.

  

Q : What time is the spa open?  A : The spa is open daily from 9am to 8pm.

 

Q : Is spa access included within my stay automatically?  A : Access to the spa is an additional charge, please see our spa information page for further information.

 

Q : What is included in spa facilities?  A : The lake view spa  consists of the main swimming pool, sauna, steam room and two outdoor spa pools. 

 

Q : Do you have a gym on site?   A : Unfortunately we don’t have a gym at the hotel.

 

Q : Is there a lift?  A : There is no lift in the hotel.  If you have mobility issues please contact our reservations team who will talk you through the options.  We can also arrange help with luggage if needed.

 

Q : Is the car park free or is there a charge?  A :Complimentary car parking is available at the hotel.

 

Q: Are children allowed in the pool?  A : Children are permitted in the main pool with a supervised adult (please see the spa page for charges)  Children are not permitted in the sauna, steam room or outdoor spa pools.

 

Q : What time is check in?  A : Check in is from 3pm

 

Q : What time is check out?  A : Check out is 11am unless a late check out has been pre arranged.

 

Q : Do all the rooms have balconies or gardens?  A : Not all of our rooms offer balconies or gardens.  Please see the rooms page for further information.

 

Q : Can I have decorations added to my room for a special occasion?  A : If you have a special occasion and would like some decorations, you are welcome to send these to the hotel prior to your arrival and we will decorate the room for you.

 

Q : Can items be in my room on arrival?    A : We can add extras to your room for arrival ie wine and flowers for additional charges, please contact our reservations team for further information.

 

Q : Can I add a cooked breakfast to my booking?  A : A full hot breakfast menu, including full English is provided at the hotel.  You can order hot breakfasts once you are at the hotel.

 

Q : What time is the restaurant open?  A : Burlington’s restaurant is open daily from 6.00pm to 8.30pm.

 

Q : What time is breakfast served?  A : Breakfast is served daily from 7.30am to 10.00am.

 

Q : Can we swim in the lake?  A : At present there is no access to the lake from the beach area at the hotel.  You can access the lake from the National Trust car park next to the hotel, however swimming is at your own risk.

 

Q : Is fishing allowed from the hotel?  A : At present we are unable to offer fishing directly from the hotel.
